To stand firm is to stand against the odds. Some of you will agree, that when we make a decision to stand firm, things are never comfortable. Especially when you have decided to be a soldier of God. Get ready for war, be ready to embrace days of abandonment and nights of discord. You will have thoughts that will make you question yourself, is this even worth it? But if you have decided to take a stand for Jesus don’t doubt it even for a moment. To be a warrior for God one must put on the armor, as written in Ephesians 6:13 NIV Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
I recall the night I took a stand for the Lord, I just knew that I had to stand firm for what God was calling me to do. It’s like when you love someone you don’t hide the relationship if you are serious about it right? I was in love with the maker of my soul because he has been in love with me before creation. Before I was born He knew me and set me apart. He gave his all to gain me.
So I went ahead and confronted my people but they did not understand our love.
I wasn’t forced to follow Christ, I decided.
I don’t worship to hear my voice, I worship because he deserves it.
I don’t read his word because it’s a story, I read it because it’s true.
I love God, and I won’t deny it to anyone, for any reason.
Sometimes we have to experience things we don’t understand just so God can bring us to a place where he needs us to be. Never doubt the season he has for you. God often uses our deepest pain as a launching pad for our greatest calling. So let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;- Hebrews 10:23
