December 2020 Bible Reading Plan + Christ-Centered Christmas Playlist

Happy December! I can’t believe it’s finally here—the last month of 2020! What a year it has been. I don’t know about you, but I am SO READY for this Christmas season! Give me all the hot cocoa, gingerbread cookies & Jesus!

And that’s why this Christmas will be so special. Not because of presents or candy canes or Christmas movies—although those are all wonderful things. No, this Christmas will be special because of Jesus.

Because of Him, we have hope. Because He came to earth, we have peace. No matter what kind of year we’ve had, He gives us comfort and joy. What a reason to celebrate Christmas!

The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine. -Isaiah 9:2

Our world needs a reason to hope now more than ever. And Jesus is that reason! Let’s share His light and love with those around us this Christmas. Let’s give the world a reason to hope!

Also, let’s keep Jesus at the center of this Christmas season! Each day on this month’s calendar, you’ll find a passage from the Gospel of Matthew + a Christ-centered Christmas song. My hope is that you’ll be able to take the messages from these verses + songs and keep them with you all day!

Since Matthew is a long book, we won’t be reading the whole thing—I’ve picked out a small section from each chapter. However, if you want to read the entire book in December, I recommend reading the whole chapter each day! (That would give you a few catch-up days at the end.)

You can easily find + listen to this month’s songs on my Spotify playlist, A Christian Artist Christmas! Click here to check it out.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. -Romans 15:13

Merry Christmas everyone!
